Interview with Dvora Kedar

Exclusive interview to Lemon Popsicle Forever, conducted in November 2002 with Dvora Kedar, star of the Lemon Popsicle movies.

Lemon Popsicle Forever: Can you tell me a little about yourself?

Dvora Kedar: I was born in Israel. I live in Tel Aviv, married and have a son, a daughter and four grand children.

LPF: How long have you been acting?

DK: I have been acting for about 45 years. I am mainly a theatre actress, and l also acted in movies and tv programs. I was studying in the actors school of the "Habima" - Israel National Theatre.

LPF: How did you come to get the part in the movies?

DK: They just picked me. I was invited by the director to participate in Eskimo Limon by the director Boaz Davidson.

LPF: Did you enjoy your time working on the movies?

DK: They made the first one 27 years ago, I found the time working in the Eskimo Limon movies very exciting. They were 8 movies but I starred in only 7. They were lots like Roman Za'ir and one about the army.

LPF: Which was your favourite?

DK: The first one is the best. In the others I knew what I was going to do, he wanted me to play the mother

LPF: What are you doing at the moment?

DK: I am not working at the moment, but I have worked at the Habima theatre which is the Israel national theatre, I recently had a part.

LPF: What did you think of the three main leads?

DK: I worked with Jonathan Sagall, he was the nice guy. His english is very good, and he could probably help you more than I can! And the other one was Zachi Noy, the fat one and Yiftach Katzur. They were very nice with everybody. It was very nice.
